Stephanie went to Bringham University and got her bachelors degree in English. She lives in Arizona with her husband and three sons. An important part about her writing is that she finds alot inspiration in music. She loves bands like Muse and Linkin Park. She typicially has specific songs pegged on specific characters.

The author of the Twilight series, Stephanie Meyer, has become an overnight sensation. All of her ideas have been based off of a dream she had one night. Her dream depicted the "meadow" scene in the book Twilight. She came up with her stories plot during the day with taking care of her 2 sons and wrote the story during the night.

When her first novel Twilight was debuted on the New York Times Bestsellers List at position #5 it was an instant hit. Afterwards Twilight was named an "ALA Top Ten Books for Young Adults," an Amazon.com "Best Book of the Decade...So Far", and a Publishers Weekly Best Book of the Year as well as many others.

Twilights sequel New Moon was released in September 2006 and spent 25 weeks at the New York Times Bestsellers at #1.
